The DE&I in FINN Partners' DNA
By Yadira Esquivel
The 2023 PRSSA Midwest District Conference – PR eLevated – is quickly approaching. The event will be full of new opportunities and faces from some of the most recognized PR agencies in the city.
The conference theme is not only a play on the Chicago ‘L’ trains but also a commitment to elevating a community of Chicago communicators and the field as a whole. Each participating agency walks into this conference with a purpose and passion.
One of the prominent agencies attending is FINN Partners, one of the fastest-growing global, independent marketing and communications agencies. FINN Partners’ continued support of communication students, PRSSA National and PR eLevated demonstrates its understanding of the importance of our field’s future. FINN is one of PR eLevated’s Skyline Sponsors.
Actions Speak Louder
FINN Partners cares about expanding diversity, equity and inclusion to create a more vibrant agency. So much so that they’ve created the program named “Actions Speak Louder” which is dedicated to diversifying the workplace in such a fast-paced career.
Here are five quick facts about FINN Partners' DE&I program you may not have known:
71% of the company is made up of women
100% of the staff must complete mandatory bias training
40+ Black-owned businesses are supported by FINN Partners locations.
25% of FINN families are BIPOC.
30% racial diversity is estimated by 2023.
Partners for Diversity
FINN doesn’t stop at facilitating diversity and inclusion within its offices. The firm also works with PRSSA National to provide mentorship and internship experiences to traditionally underrepresented student populations.
Since 2021, FINN has partnered with PRSSA National to present FINN Partners - Partners for Diversity: A PR & Marketing Career Preview. Though applications for this year’s mentorship program are no longer being accepted, students interested in FINN’s commitment will have an opportunity to do so at PR eLevated.
